Happy that I was also one of the 94 selected artists out of over 190 , for this years prestigious McMichael 2021 Autumn Artisan Fundraiser exhibition . Funds raised support many of McMichaels projects.

The Selection Committee changes from year to year to ensure a fresh and educated perspective on the appropriateness and quality of the art selected. This year the Selection Committee consisted of 10 members. The jurors were given slideshow presentations consisting of the five works of art from each submitting artist. Applicants were not identified by name, only by application number. Each juror gave a rating from 1, being the lowest score, to 7, the highest score, (with no 4’s allowed) to each artist after viewing the five works of art. The results depend on the number of judges, the experience those individuals bring to the jury process, the way entries were presented and the quality of your photographs submitted.

This Important event will be held on line this year due to Covid.

In July artist I was honoured to be promoted in the Artists For Conservation Foundation .Once per year, The Artists for Conservation review Associate membership, for a small number of candidates deserving of promotion to Signature Status. (every artist when they get juried into and accepted for this group start as an Associate member and could end up as Associate status for years and never get the recognition as they only select a tiny number. This significant change also has a lot of extra perks, some of which are ….

Prestige of being accepted a member of the highest order in the world's leading nature art organization;

Expanded opportunities for participation in all AFC festivals, exhibitions, special initiatives (ex. murals) and international tours;

Eligibility to participate in the AFC Flag Expeditions Fellowship Program;

Eligibility to participate in special AFC Expeditions, and projects;

Expanded representation on the AFC website;

Expanded professional features on your AFC website (Workshops, Online Store, Press Coverage, Galleries);

Expanded opportunities for news and event coverage on the AFC website;

Recognition on AFC's social media channels;
