So this is starting off as a good year. Hopefully it continues ( I was one of the 41 selected for the VAM's prestigious 41st Annual Juried show (always a tough one to get into ).. and now this.
Pleased to say I was selected as one of the few Finalists for the Circle Foundation's International Artist of the Year competition with my painting Ucluelet. They selected 1st,2nd and 3rd, and I was not one of them, but am content . The competition was open to all artists, world wide and had 863 artists enter.
The Circle Foundation added some comments of my work from their jurors...
"Your painting is really unique and has many recognizable qualities, which is an important characteristic in an artist's practice and career.
Ucluelet really stood out and I hope we can feature it soon in our magazines or online gallery."
