Racing to Summer

And just like that, you blink and it is June. Have spent the majority of time working long, long hours in the studio at home, since the studio at the Alton Mill Arts Centre is still closed to the public , but Covid seems to be creeping towards the end, so hopefully will be able to greet people again.

In March, my artwork was published in the Spotlight magazine, issue 23, by the Circle Foundation in France and you can find it on page page 41 (alphabetical). Enjoy.

In April I was very happy to be selected as a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and have since also joined the Toronto chapter.

Again in April I to announce that two of my pieces "Gully "and "Ribbit "have been selected for the prestigious Federation of Canadian Artists juried exhibition in The Vancouver Salon June 14th-27th in Vancouver, B.C. .

In May I entered a competition in France that had 618 International entries . Did not end up as one the winners ( tough crowd, lol), but was selected as one of the 60 Finalists with my entry of Quiet Woods.

The end of May I was notified that my painting Under Cover, 36 by 48 inches, was juried into the prestigious Artists for Conservation 2021 Festival being held at the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver, Sept 23rd to 26th. The jury team said this year there were almost 500 entries and it was the highest scoring field in the past 14 years with roughly over 60 per cent of the artists not being selected.
